Yehuda Jordan Kaplan – Composer, and Music Producer
Yehuda studied at Julliard and The Mannes College of Music, New York. Piano with Murray Perahia. Theory and Anaylsis with Carl Schacter.He was head of the Piano Department and taught songwriting, studio technology, ensemble workshop and synthesizer at the New School University, New York, for 10 years.
Yehuda composed an arranged the musical scores for Berel Wein and Destiny Film’s Rashi – A light After the Dark Ages, Rambam – The Story of Maimonides, Of Heaven & Earth, The World is Built on Kindness He is currently scoring Berel Wein and Destiny’s latest series Faith & Fate – The Story of the Jewish People in the Twentieth Century.
Yehuda co-produced and arranged Judy Collins Sings Bob Dylan for Geffen Records; he produced and arranged Lev Tahor I (The A Capella CD); and his own solo CD, Light/Ohr on Next Step Records. He has composed, produced, and arranged over 500 national TV and radio commercials for the following agencies: DMB & B, Grey Advertising, Hutchins Y & R, J. Walter Thompson, and McCann-Erikson, to name a few.
Yehuda has composed and arranged children’s music for Sesame Workshop’s Elmo videos, Nickelodeon’s Looking At Each Other, and IDT’s Entertainment’s Hip Hop & Hamilton. Yehuda was also the Founder and Director of Touro College and IDT’s Multi-Media Studies Project.
